Sure it’s not a case of ‘How I Wish’

Whilst it makes good tabloid fodder for us all to read, I think it’s pretty much irrelevant. Why do we expect our politicians to be any different to the rest of us when it comes to affairs and relationship breakdowns? Unless the individual concerned is an obvious hypocrite (Major comes to mind with his ‘Back to Basics’ campaign) then we should concentrate on the individual’s political views and experience. In the last century, in US politics - FDR, Kennedy and Clinton all had affairs and yet I would prefer them leading the US than such presidents as Truman, Nixon and Dubya (either one) who apparently didn’t have affairs whilst in office.
