That is the first honest criticism I have received from anybody currently in the Nazi party. It is a problem - the only thing I can say in my defence is that I was always quite open in my opposition to genocide within & without the party.

Also in my niavity at the time I thought the party a democratic organisation whose members could influence policy. As such I did officially do so. Indeed the Scottish party conference did, UNANIMOUSLY vote for a motion I put forward which, called for the arrest & trial of those war criminals. Constitutionaly conference is the sovereign body of the party & I admit it was as niave of me to believe that the constitutional rules actually applied as to believe that there are any circumstances whatsoever under which the Nazi child rapists in control will listen to ordinary members.

I do not claim to be any sort of saint but I do claim to be somewhat better than the "monster" in that programme & thus thousands of times better than all the obscene murdering, child raping, organlegging, racist filth running the party.

In defence I put up this which is still officially the Scottish party position& which makes them the first party in Britain to call, even if only officially, for the arrest of the US President, among others, for war crimes.

I can also point out that while the kidnapping & dissection, while alive of 1,300 Serb teenagers was known at the time to the British giovernment & thus presumably to all MPs who didn't deliberately decide to ignore the details, it only became public just over a year ago & so I cannot be accused of knowing of that ultimate obscenity while still a member.

I presume, James, you & others have less troublesome consciences.

Well, Neil, as you were a member of the party them you presumably include yourself as a party of that monstrosity. How can you live with yourself?

In the real world what would happen is that the government would send a task force into Congo or somewhere without voters & grab their children.

However I think you are being extremly unfair to the fictional cabinet by calling them monsters. He was doing this for what appeared to be a genuine benefit to humanity.

As an excuse this is infinitely better than "to maintain respect for our power" which was the excuse used by our leaders to bomb hospitals, to carry out massacres, to kidnap 10s of thousands of children & ultimately to kidnap people & cut them opne, while still alive to stael their body organs. Can you seriously say that anybody human in the programme showed 1,000th as much evil as every single Lib Dem MP who has deliberately participated in racial genocide & worse in Kosovo just because they could? Is their a single member of your racist party who would under any circumstances have objected to the Torchwood scenario, bearing in mind that none of them did in a far worse reality?

Knowing RTD's penchant for inside references in Who, it wouldn't surprise me in the least to find that this was quite deliberately intended as a homage to Nigel Kneale, and if that is the case then I have to say that he pulled it off a treat.
