    The Tory MP on Simon Mayo’s post-PMQs bunfight yesterday said exactly the same. At the time I put it down to an ignoramus going off-reservation but now I’m wondering if it was a ‘line to take’.

    James, I have just rung DD about this. He says he was totally misquoted and he never said any such thing. The Guardian have agreed to correct it and apologise, although I notice the original article still has the offending words.
