James,

Are you aware that the much improved Chibnall appears to have left the show for a London based "Law & Oreder" spin-off?

fair point, perhaphs it was for a more dramatical and sympathetic response from the audience, when Martha ages 80years. Also her being in the following two episodes gave us a small insite of her life, pro-doctor which is more than likely going to be explored in this series of who.

Yeah, Chris Chibnell has up-ed his games, enourmously this series, with (i think) more episodes to stir up choas in. I was pleasantly surprised that it was himm who wrote the first episode! Fantastic!

I'm not convinced I've "changed my mind" - it's the series that's changed, not me. I've certainly reviewed my opinion of Chris Chibnell, but only because he has got his act together dramatically over the previous few months.

As for Martha allowing the other characters to take centre stage, that's a fair comment. That being the case however, why keep her in the following two episodes at all? She could have been recovering in hospital rather than semi-taking over from Owen, which would have had the merit of being rather more credible as well.

well, well, well hasnt someone changed there mind?

Second series was fantastic! The exploration of characters, plot lines and guest star apperences was fantastic for a Welsh show. The first episode was just electric! With so many possibilites following on from the final episode of season 1 and doctor who, it was quite a surprise to see what they came up with. However i agree the second episode (sleeper) was absolutly pointless! It was obvious that the world would not end and the city of Cardiff wouldnt be blown up quite so early on in the series and so was rather tedious i thought. The following episodes where produced fantasically from an acting, casting and plot point of view. Costumes have been great throughout. And i have to disagree with you about Martha, all focus on her throughout the three episodes would have made the other team member less worthy and capable with situations that would have arised.

I again dont agree with the on-take of Torchwood Scotland as a perminant show would be a good idea, because the fact that it is a Welsh produced show, and the people of Wales are proud of that fact! In fact one of the locations in the second series was filmed just down the road from me! Also Doctor who is mainly filmed in Wales, with the editting of the show to make it look like it was actually filmed in London.

I am not sure if your aware of the additional features that the bbc have produced. A "job section" has been created on the website which lets member of the public become Torchwood opperatives, and complete missions that are set, which has also coincided with the show. It has been an interesting mission and also provides links to learn more about the characters in the show. Also the new-look website has given people an oppertunaty to watch behind the scene fotage and free downloads as well as links to watch previous shows from series 1 and 2 as well as news on episodes, writers and characters.

This season of Doctor Who looks promicing, with another re-union on the cards of Martha,Rose,K-9,Sarah Jane Smith as well as the favourite Captain Jack Harkness. However we wont see this until the end of this season. Which in no doubt will be anticipated and will come as quickly as it was made!
