TB or not TB?

Having seen David King offer apparently diametrically opposite advice to the Government’s own 9 year study, the only thing I’m reasonably confident of is that badgers like mashed potato. This appears to be the one fact that has not been contradicted in any government report.

I’m making light of the politics, not the issue behind it.

In all seriousness, the study published this summer sounded authoritative enough, and it is hard to see how the views of a qualified chemist really apply here.

It’s not an issue that will fire up too much passion in the media, but it sounds like leaving the situation alone would be a bad idea. Maybe get a wider range of professional opinion? I thought Gordon Brown was into that whole i-care-what-you-think facade these days.

They’ve had 10 years of experts looking at it, and the experts conclude that culling is ineffective. The problem is that isn’t good enough for the farmers.

Except that culling worked in Ireland.

And there was the animal rights lot seeking deliberately to sabotage the studies you quote.
