I tried to believe in this too because I too used to believe blindingly that the Liberal Democrats could not do what they did to me. But they did and race and ethnic cleansing has everything to do with it. I appreciate your desire to want to believe your party for which you have worked so long is good and true and that it is all my fault. But you are wrong. And furthermore, I do not remember working with you greatly. We were colleagues and I remember we were helpful and co-operative. Anyhow, please remember the Lawrence Enquiry. It is what the victim things of the insult/offence that is important. You may think it has nothing to do with race but that is your opinion. I am not engaging in random attacks merely highlighting the hypocracy of what the leader is saying. I feel it is important that I remind people of what happened as other minorities need to learn from my experience. I know you and what you are like to work with, I know many of the other people involved and I've talked to people at length about your case. I'm satisfied that race wasn't the issue in your deselection. But I'm also satisfied I'll never be able to convince you of this. By all means continue your legal case against the party, but it doesn't do your case or yourself any good by continuing these random attacks. I urge you as a former colleague who has no beef with you as an individual to let go and move on. Yes, I did like that line about religion, but I'm not going to pop the champagne until I hear the party taking on faith schooling and creationism in City Academies. But there's no doubt that it was a pretty good performance. It was very relaxed, the self-deprecatory jokes worked fine, and like you say he was just himself. A new Ming? Let's hope so.
