  1. I think the point is meant to be that it sells newspapers, but I’m not sure it does. It’s just that there are a lot of hacks who found covering the Tory leadership contest fun, so now they’re trying to start another one somewhere else.

  2. The point is that if any front-bencher is completly unhappy with Charles’ leadership they have an honourable course of action open to them – they can resign from the front bench.

    Unfortunately it appears that one or more of them has chosen a dishonourable course of action – anonymous briefing.

    In choosing this course of action they not only damage Charles but the whole party and it is quite right that they should be removed from their position.

  3. Neil is right – but that’s only the half of it. It is clear that some people have been dishonourable not only by anonymous briefing but by maintaining a veneer of loyalty while (in the most serious case) starting his own leadership campaign.

    One individual in particular should be removed. Those who know me will know who that is.
